I have discovered that some corners of the Web are actually useful and/or entertaining.  For instance, I tend to get my news from the New York Times or from CNN.  Weather information is available from the Purdue Weather Processor.

I learned to read via the comic pages, and have loved them ever since.  Online comic strips are available at The Comic Strip, hosted by United Media, and also at UExpress.  The Houston Chronicle has a comics section.  The first Internet-only daily strip was Doctor Fun, which has been followed by myriad others.  Lately I've been following Sluggy Freelance, GPF, Bruno the Bandit, Nukees, Clan of the Cats, and CRFH.

While not exactly a couch potato, I confess to watching some TV.  Lately I've been watching quite a bit of anime, as well as catching up on some of the movies that I haven't had a chance to see in the theater.
